I had a fantastic Halloween – I hope you did, too! I’d like to say a special thank you to Tommy Mattioli for having me sit in with his band, the Vibrojets at Troost in Brooklyn. You haven’t lived until you’ve heard his band – surf/latin/jazz – featuring Tommy on vibrophone!
My residency continues at the Bar Chord (www.barchordnyc.com) in Brooklyn, New York. I’ll be playing solo/acoustic with special guests the first Tuesday this month – November 3rd. This month is the 2nd Anniversary of Music Trivia. The anniversary festivities will be presented by Six Point Brewery and will feature beer specials all night and a Grand Prize! Congratulations, Ruth and Shane, for your first two years hosting Music Trivia! I’ll be starting as soon as the prizes have been announced, sometime around 9:30PM, give or take. So, come early and give your brain a workout, then stay for some great music. Due to a double booking by the club, I’ll not be there on November 17th. I’ll be back the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays in December, so mark your calendars!
On my actual birthday, November 16th, I’ll be wearing my rubboard and playing with The Dirty Water Dogs (cajun/zydeco/funk) at the Ear Inn, (www.earinn.com) 326 Spring Street, New York, NY from midnight to 3AM. Come and party down at my birthday bash! The Dogs will also be playing on November 21st from 9PM to midnight at An Beal Bocht, (www.anbealbochtcafe.com) a favor and check out this authentic Irish bar – you’ll be glad you did!
And if you’re in New York City for Thanksgiving, come on out on November 28th to see me at Caffe Vivaldi, (www.caffeevivaldi.com) in Greenwich Village. I’ll be playing one set from 7 to 8PM. Caffe Vivaldi is a real listening room – long, communal tables, a fireplace and locally sourced food. It’s a real treat for me to be playing there again.
I’d love to see you so please join me for one of these shows. Until soon . . .
